Black Skull Troll - 100 Posts

I have done a Monday drawing, with minutes to spare! Yes, it's only a Black Skull Troll, but it's somethin. These trolls are the little guys who come pull ideas out of your butt when you run out. They use their magic wands to extract the magic.

And 100 posts. Hey, that is cool.
And with that, I am off to bed.

Run Puggles Run...

It's Friday, and this is all I got. It has been a rough week. Deadlines. Lack of sleep. Puggles. They have all contributed to my headache. But, today IS Friday, and it will be nice to be at home for a couple of days.

My goal next week on top of everything else, is to do a drawing a day for the blog. It's good to have goals.

SHHHIIIIING!!!!

I wasn't able to take this as far as I wanted, but I am happy to have something to turn in for Drawergeeks this week. Either Wolvie is all pumped up after taking down a giant robot, or he sat in some really cold snow. The background elements need to be fleshed out a lot more, but like I said... no more time allowed.

Happy Friday.
And don't forget Mother's Day!

It LIVES!

It has been a while huh?

I am frankly busy as a beaver, building seven dams at once.
Major book project.
Finishing touches on the pages of my comic.
Drawergeeks.
Painting a room pink.
Day job.

I realized yesterday, that I do talk sometimes like all of these are bad. NO WAY. It is amazing that I am so busy.
I just think I do a poor job of balancing sometimes. Anyway... enough blogging from me. I wanted to share a couple of pieces.

This guy is an idea I had for a "Skull Ghost Pilot/Pirates In Space" story. Could be cool. Part skeletal goodness, part robot (of course.)

And this is Puggles again. Puggles has self esteem issues. Or should I say HAD self esteem issues. He has a new car now. For today, that fixes everything. (I don't know. One day I will try to explain Puggles.)

That is all today. So glad I got to post. I need to really get rolling on the book stuff, squeak out a Drawergeeks as therapy, and go finish my Mother's Day shopping. See ya!

A Friday Picnic

Happy Friday to all. I am showing you another rough page of "The Picnic" story! My goal next week is to start doing a rough drawing per day. Lets see how that goes down...

Have a good weekend.

A Page From "The Picnic"

Yeah, I am alive, but moving slower now. I have been working on this Parable story for the past month, as well as doing the day job thing and being Daddy. While I can't really show you much on my story, I will post a random page or two over the next week. These are not fully cleaned up, and need a bit of work. Naked pages.

So, on the news front... I have been given a really great freelance book project to tackle. As usual, not many details for you, but this will be a great opportunity to design characters and illustrate a full book. The bad news is that I can't really post anything from it, so I will have to start doing a "blog drawing of the day" or something so I can stay in the blogging loop.

That is all

Poking My Head Above The Water

Well... I had to throw something up here. This is the longest I have gone without posting SOMETHING in a while.

A while back, my team developed a lot of the art for the M&M's World store in Times Square. All sorts of fun. This was a "rough" turnaround of their Green character as the Statue of Liberty. There are issues, but when you do as much art as fast as we did... there are bound to be issues.

As a kind of update... I am slammed, thus the lack of bloggy goodness. I am working like a fool with my hair on fire on my Parable comic. I am doing some animation development work as a freelance gig. And if all works out, I will be taking on another freelance project that could be big. I still have hopes of putting together a pitch book for the San Diego Con. Oh, and my day job. Drawing round chocolates.

I will post some of my original stuff soon.

Thanks for checking in people!

The Charred Wasteland of Hell Planet

"From the far off kill zone that is Hell Planet, comes a monster the likes of which you have never seen! Made of hardened lava and pure evil, he wanders the bubbling surface searching out intruders who might be set on stealing some of the god's liquid fire. This horrid creature was once a handsome God named Xeonidese, who one day made the big man Zeus angry by trying to mack on his royal daughter. As punishment, Zeus banned him to forever wander the surface of Hell Planet, a crispy overcooked mess. Will he ever earn his soul back?! Will he ever again feel the love of a woman!? Tune in next week for... The Titan From Hell Planet!"

Check out "Drawergeeks" today at 1:00pm est and see what happens!

The Titan From Hell Planet

This is the progress after about an hour. I hope to do a lot more with it, but time is not on my side.
And apparently, Hell Planet is a terrible vacation spot.

Lava Titan

Through all of my work, I am going to try and complete a Drawergeeks submission. It's probably not the smartest thing to do, given my current deadlines... but I never said I was very smart. The subject is "Titans" this time around. Instead of doing all sorts of helpful research, I just went for a giant lava man.

This is my small doodle to set up my idea. Hopefully I can finish this and show you my progress this week.

Poppa Koller

"To make the meeting go faster, Poppa Koller rubs his lucky puppy."

Yeah. I need sleep.
Lots of work on the comic, as well as some freelance.
Excuses! I know.

Kenneth

This is a guy I know. Lets call him... Kenneth. Kenneth thinks he is pretty cool. He likes to dress well, wearing clothes that match. He likes to tell stories about what a great warrior he was in a past life, and how he can lead troops into battle just as well today as he could back then. He also explains daily how he can get the best looking female cyclops's to hook up with him whenever he wants. However... what Kenneth doesn't realize is, we can all see he only has one eye.

Silly Kenneth.
