Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Mmmm

I don't think I have posted these...

A few years ago I did some concepts for the M&M's/Indiana Jones tie in. Being a huge fan of the movies, I was super pumped to work on the project. The final designs ended up being destroyed by poor execution and horrible printing... but I still have the rough sketches!

Wolverine Weekend

These are roughs for a little drawing blog that we do here at the studio. The Topic? "Men With Body Hair." No, not really... it's "Wolverine."

This weekend, the new Wolverine movie opens. I will more than likely go see it, since my oldest son is pretty pumped up about it. I can't say that I am expecting much... but I do hope to come away saying "Well, that one scene was pretty cool..." I have heard rumors that Batman makes an appearance, and apparently he arm wrestles Wolverine for the keys to the Batmobile.

Have a great weekend.

Softer Approach

I thought I might try a different style on this... of course I would go a lot cleaner on the final illustration but I like the lack of lines. It causes you to focus on the shapes. More tomorrow!

Oh, and my apologies... me drawing at normal speed is pretty boring.

Quick Color!

Not much time this morning...

Martian Pack Mule

Sorry for the lack of posts lately, but I have been extremely busy. More news soon!

Pencil and Brush Pen Tarzan

I had hopes that I might do a more finished piece for Drawergeeks this week, but as usual my hopes were dashed. My schedule is just too full. So, I threw down some old fashioned pencil and brush pen in my silly style, and the best I can hope for is to finish it out in color. There are some major issues here that I would like to go back and fix... but in typical fashion... I won't. It's a doodle. I am ok with that.

If you want to see a truly top notch Tarzan entry, check out Sarah's Blog.

He Lives Under My Bed

Little Jimmy Sikes has a monster that lives under his bed. Kind of a funny looking fellow, but very accommodating. He does sometimes snack on pillows and blankets... but that can be overlooked.

A Case Of The Snarly Face

Doodling again. This cheerful fellow is the alien baddie who tries to board the ship of the chap in the previous post. They meet up, have a few kind words, and then start shootin.

By the way, that last post of the mentioned space fellow was my 200th post here. For many bloggers, this would be a small anniversary that takes place in the first month. For me it is pretty cool. I wonder where I will be when I reach 400...

That is all

Waiting For Trouble

I am working on a story for a comics anthology that will come out in 2009, and I have started to doodle around looking for a style. This is really rough, but I like the feel of things. As time passes I will reveal more details about the story and the design.

Life is Sweet

It's Tuesday, and once again I must slap some old work onto the table. This week I have several big deadlines, which means I lock myself into a room and pretend I am not here. At least I get to listen to a lot of music!

Happy candy Christmas goodness. Rough pose sketches in Photoshop.

Another sweet sketch. (Referring to the taste of the candy, I assure you.)

Rough concept for a Christmas frame.

Mouse Scribbles

I thought I would share some older sketches on the blog today. In other words, I got too busy to do a new drawing this morning... These are some sketches I did to brush up on the "Disney Look" and characters. They really didn't accomplish much for me, but I think they came out ok.

Goofy rockin the fightin gear.

Pooh and friends doing their best Calvin and Hobbes imitation.

Mickey in his P.J.'s

Island commute.

Post It Mess

People have asked me "Jeremy. What do your really rough sketches look like?" Well boys and girls, here you go. I basically make a big scratchy mess, and create the most basic of basic shapes just to get my idea down on paper before I forget it. In fact, I might be the only person that can tell what it is I just drew. Can anyone tell what I just drew?

The Seven Little Metal Miners Return

These little guys seem to have struck a chord with a few people. The original design was done as a play on the seven dwarves from Snow White over at Drawergeeks. Then, I posted them on the
  • Drawinboard.org
  • and got a really good response. I figured what the heck, and wrote a quick little children's book type story for them, and will tuck it away. Maybe draw it out for the blog one day.

Anyway, here they are taking a bow. Thanks for all the kind words everybody.

    And happy Friday.
