Aliens Are So Boss

Still in the writing/concepting stage for the book. There is a lot of busy work going on behind the scenes, and that is great. The story is inching towards completion, and at that time I will kick into bigger more fleshed out concepts. Exciting stuff... for me anyway!

What's The Matter Boy?

A happy Monday to you all. Always remember... it could be worse. Aliens could be invading. Well, I guess if aliens were invading with the desire to load us up with all kinds of awesome technology... that would actually be better. Ok, just assume that the aliens were invading with the very strong desire to zap our brains and enslave our pets. That would be worse than a Monday.

Magic Hands And Stabby Sticks

And a good Monday to you all. Today I give you even more alien scribbles. Over the weekend I was able to put a lot of work into the story. It seems like every time I sit down to write, the story gets bigger and bigger. At this point, I am pretty sure I will be drawing two full books. Nothing like jumping in with both feet!
I hope to announce the new title this week!

A Few Alien Chaps

This morning I did a few rough character development sketches. In the story, there will be representatives from many alien races, so I will be scribbling out a bunch of "blue-sky" ideas before I try to nail down proper character sheets. Baby steps.

Get The Robot Fixed Quick!

Today for my down-time doodles, I attacked my sketchbook with a Sharpie and a Pitt Artist Pen. Not sure exactly what's going on here, but my random doodle madness became a scene of space adventure. All I know is that the astronauts had better get their robot fixed before the alien creature turns them into snacks. That's all I know.

I think this was my inspiration.

A Case Of The Snarly Face

Doodling again. This cheerful fellow is the alien baddie who tries to board the ship of the chap in the previous post. They meet up, have a few kind words, and then start shootin.

By the way, that last post of the mentioned space fellow was my 200th post here. For many bloggers, this would be a small anniversary that takes place in the first month. For me it is pretty cool. I wonder where I will be when I reach 400...

The Postcard

So this is where the postcard ended up. I had to do it quickly, but I think it came out ok. I only hope they help me out with the printing. It is so dark, if it prints badly I am screeeeeewed. But, here is hoping! I plan on having them at Comicon next week so if you are there, and want one... hit me up. (Please Mr. Mailman get them to me on time!)

As usual, I have procrastinated on everything that I wanted to have printed for the con... which means I won't be bringing much. I will be ok though, and do what I need to get done. I am really looking forward to it.

The Mothership Calls Him Home

This is my Drawergeeks submission this week. The subject is "Aliens." There is a story here, waiting to be told... but I won't tell it quite yet.

On Thursday, my daughter is due to arrive. We have a scheduled C-Section early that morning. So, needless to say the next few days will be a whirlwind. I still haven't grasped the fact that I will have a daughter in two days. Wow. I will get back to blogging sometime next week... after everything settles down.

The Lava Men From Hell Planet!

I am not really sure where these came from. I was sitting at my computer late last night, and just started scratching out an idea. I gave myself one color, and black. These skull robots just came out... more than likely inspired by the Ashley Wood comic, "Robots vs Zombies" that a co-worker showed me this week. I picture these guys traveling the universe, setting up volcanos. Huge robots zipping around lighting mountains on fire. Hmmm.













Then I doodles this scene. Another free flowing experiment. I was just wondering if you could do a mini comic like this. Barren planet. Giant alien robots. Asteroids. You know... fun times.
